The annual Kansas Association of Directors of Plant Facilities Technical Conference and Trade Show will be held
September 22, 23 and 24, 2008, at the Holiday Inn Convention Center, 1616 West Crawford, Salina, Kansas. You may call
the hotel for room reservations at 785-823-1739. Please make room reservations and pre-register as soon as possible. They
will only hold the room block until September 1, 2008.
Be sure to tell the
hotel when making room reservations that you are with the K.A.D.P.F. conference.We have arranged for a flat rate of $73.00
for 1 to 4 persons.
We will kick off the Conference and Trade Show Monday,
September 22, 2008, at 8:30 a.m. with a presentation by the State Fire Marshal Office.
The KADPF Golf Tournament will be held this year on Monday, September 22, 2008, starting at 11:00 a.m. Sign
up time will be 10:30 a.m. Fees for the golf tournament are $35.00 which includes green fees and cart. We will play at
the Salina Municipal Course. The KADPF bowling touornament will be at the All Star Lanes from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Fees for the bowling tournament will be $15.00 and includes bowling and shoe rental. (Check if you need a ride). At 5:30
p.m. the Monday banquet will take place at the Kirby House in Abiline, KS. The cost is $25.00 per person for dinner and
we can make arrangements to car pool, so les us know if you need a ride.
Other
topics at this year's conference will be Masonry/Building Envelope PM by Mark Frazen with HTK Architects, Air Filtration
by Hal Schump with Air Filters Plus, Construction Commissioning by Joel Putman with Engineering Economics, Inc., and Energy
Conservation by John Geist with the Lawrence School District. On Wednesday there will be round table discussions with one
table to have a KPERS representative on hand.
Dues are $10.00 for regular
members. 2007 dues expire at the conference and the 2008-09 dues are collected at the conference or through pre-registration.
You may send seperate checks for dues and registration fees.
Advance registration
fees are $90.00. The advance registration for the conference closes on Monday, September 11, 2008. After that date, registration
fees must be paid at the conference door. Registration fees the day of the conference are $100.00.
The conference registration fee includes Tuesday's lunch and evening banquet, Wednesday's lunch and all of the
Tuesday and Wednesday conference activities including snacks and beverages during the breaks. It does not include Monday's
golf or bowling tournaments or the Monday evening dinner.
